After being frost bitten and escaping avalanches of snow and ice, meeting penguins in the Antarctic and polar bears in the Arctic, we have survived to encounter the Gallery Rebels. Those artists who have allowed their imaginations to run wild with colours and creativity- taking art to a whole new level.
Miss Hunt, a caricature artist, worked hard to provide our students with artistic skills for our WOW Day and to stimulate their curiosity. She did an amazing job.
Winners of our best caricature competition pose with their caricature drawing.
We are this term looking at Art in its many forms. Art can be a form of expression, rebellion or a weird and wonderful sculpture. What do you view art as? Can you change the world with a paint brush, a thought or an idea? Many have and in the 21st Century, art is still changing the world. We will explore the Science of light, the scale and measurement in Maths, the location of these wonderful art pieces in Geography and express ourselves through poetry in English.
Our talented and creative Year 6 students have tried their hand at different artistic styles and have expressed themselves without words. Colours are blending and minds racing as we inspire all forms of creativity. Who knows, we may have the next great artist of all time in our midst.
