Well, at the end of last term we were able to return all the witches belongings we found. She wrote us a letter to tell us how happy she was they we looked after everything. We all wrote to her many times and we are now great friends. We are hoping she will visit us soon to see how we are doing at school. With the children’s help the dragon now remembers how to be a kind friend and no longer eats witch and chips for tea.
This term we are learning all about our health. On the first days back in school we thought about why we can’t eat chocolate for breakfast. The children had a GREAT messy day creating their own ice-creams and lollypops with amazing colours and flavours such as “bean flavour” and “rainbow cake”. They really enjoyed mixing ingredients for pizza and cutting lots of different shapes.
Our book focus is “Supertato!” a fantastic potato with super powers who needs to defeat the Evil Pea. The children have set up a supermarket role play in the hopes that Supertato will come to protect us. We may all have to make our own superhero masks and flying machines to help defend our Classrooms.
We are planning a Pet Week beginning on the 16th January and inviting parents in to share their experiences on how they care for pets at home and look at the differences between living creatures. Letters will be going out shortly to parents and carers to share their knowledge.
